ONE DAY SWING DANCE WORKSHOP 11/7/21 FROM 1-5 PM

AIC Swing Dance Workshop

Antioch International Church is offering this as a whole workshop only.  No partner or prior dance experience necessary to attend. 

No individual classes are available.  Focus on this workshop is East Coast Swing moves and Charleston. There will be 45-50 minutes of instruction for each class with 10-15 minutes of open dancing to practice and get help after each session. This will help fund AIC's children's ministry. 


When:

Sunday, 11/7/21 from 1:00-5:00 pm


Where:

Antioch International Church (in the lobby of The River Place studio).

453 Glynwood Forest Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29715

Plenty of free parking.

Some older maps may show this as being on Convention Dr.


Who:

Anyone 11 or over. No child care is available. Children who attend should be there to learn to dance. 


Registration Options: 

$40 in advance (through Eventbrite, with processing fee)

$30 at Antioch International Church service (with cash or check made out to AIC)

$45 at the door.

No refunds, but you may give your registration to another person to use.

1:00 Intro to Swing Dancing

This is the class Tom & Denise do before each dance for non-dancers to get up to speed or for dancers to review basic skills for those who need the review. 

2:00 East Coast Moves 1 

We will start adding moves to give you more variety to your dancing. 

3:00 East Coast Moves 2

Adding additional East Coast Moves to your dancing toolbox

4:00 Charleston basics

Basic Charleston class and we will be getting in and out of East Coast and Charleston styles.


General

No masks or vaccines are required. 

Bring water bottles and snacks as drinking fountains are closed off.

This is a wood laminate floor. Wear shoes that will not stick or damage the floor. Dance shoes are preferred.

Dress casual to stay comfortable and cool. 

We will be switching partners during the workshop. If you prefer to dance only with your partner, please request an orange band as you check in.
